All classes will be in the classrooms which are accessible from inside the show exhibit area at the Place Bonaventure Room 200 North, 800 De La Gauchetière Street West, Montréal Québec, unless otherwise advised below or before class start.

There are two different fees associated with each class: class fees and kit fees.
Class fees are the charge for taking the class and must be paid at registration time to reserve your seat in the class.
Kit fees are the cost of non-optional materials that are required in order to participate in the course; kit fees are payable directly to the instructor on class day at start of class.

Note: GST and QST are payable on all fees. If paying by cheque, please include GST (5%) and QST (7.5% applied to fees plus GST).

Description:

Create a unique chunky bracelet by embellishing a ladder stitch base with a variety of interesting beads. This is an excellent technique to use your ‘orphan’ beads from other projects.

NOTE: Classrooms are equipped with task lights; students should bring their own eyeglasses, magnifiers, personal tools or additional task light(s) as needed. Students must bring their own bead tray/mat, small scissors, round-nosed and flat-nosed pliers.

Here is a way to try wire bead crochet with minimum effort and maximum satisfaction: a pair of multi-strand earrings with your choice of wire and Japanese drop beads. No previous crochet experience is necessary.

A right-angle weave (RAW) ring easy to make. Once you learn it, the color combinations you choose to use are limitless. Then you will be also able to create pendant with the same technique (we will not have time to do it during the class but the principle is the same).

Discover tips and tricks on how to design jewelry with style and choose from an array of beads and findings to create a unique piece of jewelry.

When designing a piece of jewelry, combining colors is one of the most difficult aspects to understand. Diane will show you different ways to pick original colour schemes and will give you tips and tricks on how to coordinate colors with style.

You will learn how to mix and match beads in different sizes, shapes and tones and you will then choose from an array of beads and findings to create a unique necklace.

Hand-made borosilicate glass Calla Lily beads are at the center of this unique cluster strung on three strands of silver wire with Swarovski crystals and pearls and Sterling Silver beads.

About the instructor: Diane Reda has been beading for the past eight years. She was born in Montreal and is able to give instructions in English and/or French.
